San Diego Humane Society: Brand Identity

Through life-saving work that leads the way nationally in innovation, impact, and effectiveness, San Diego Humane Society inspires compassion for all animals – companion and wild – in San Diego County and beyond. Every year for the past 30 years the San Diego Humane Society has hosted a local event called the Fur Ball Gala. This event is a dog-friendly evening that includes a cocktail reception, live and silent auctions, and more.

We were asked to complete brand identity, and website design, and decide on this year’s theme to help the San Diego Humane Society promote its yearly Fur Ball Gala Fundraising Event.

Below you will see both primary & secondary logo design, style guide, invitation and RSVP, coaster design, and a custom website focused on the event.

Primary Logo:

This is the main logo that will be used across primary brand applications. This trademark helps audiences easily identify the website, social media presence and other materials, and enhances the professionalism of the brand. It is essential to the success of the brand that the logo always be applied with care and respect in every application, according to the guides.

Secondary Logo:

The secondary logos can be used in replace of the primary logo (but should never be used directly next to the primary logo). The symbol logo can be used when the full primary logo is not necessary or in cases where the brand name is already displayed in plain text. The wordmark logo is best used when wanting to incorporate a more simplified version of the main logo.

Style Guide:

In order to create consistent on-brand content, a style guide is a great way to implement this. To view this style guide, click here.
